Assistant Manager, Operations

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and talented individual to make a significant impact as part of a dedicated and professional central support team. The role involves ensuring the smooth running of the office and encompasses a variety of tasks, including facilities management, controls audits, executive assistant duties, administration services, and project work. The successful candidate will be involved in high-level administrative tasks, data collation, and leading company-wide projects, while also supporting the wider teams as necessary. Job Duties:

  • Develop a good understanding of the activities of the organisation, building relationships with the wider team and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the office, providing high-level facilities management.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, including preparing regulatory filings and insurance renewals.
  • Lead assigned company-wide projects, rolling out new systems and initiatives, and providing training to the team.
  • Collate data for various projects, presenting it in a clear format, and hosting meetings to discuss results.
  • Assist with external controls audits and manage timelines, providing feedback to stakeholders as required.
  • Perform internal audits on processes and controls, ensuring findings are escalated appropriately.
  • Support relevant teams in maintaining up-to-date template documents.
  • Create and maintain a Guernsey intranet platform with guidance and template documentation.
  • Support the wider central support, legal, and compliance teams with tasks and projects, as necessary.
  • Undertake any other ad hoc tasks, as required.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years’ administrative and/or compliance experience.
  • Proficiency in technology and software applications.
  • Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, with a preference for a degree or similar qualification.
