Contract CDD Analyst - 6 months

This role offers an opportunity for a Temporary CDD Analyst to join a well-established firm for a period of six months. The CDD Analyst will play a crucial part in supporting the Operational Risk and Compliance Team as well as the Onboarding Team. The successful candidate will be expected to provide an exceptional level of proactive and technically informed service to internal stakeholders, ensuring that CDD requirements for a variety of clients, including trusts, companies, foundations, and partnerships, comply with the regulatory framework. The ideal candidate will have frontline compliance experience in the fiduciary sector, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate an enquiring mind with an initiative to address CDD matters. Responsibilities will also involve evaluating documentation, identifying deficiencies, and implementing risk-based CDD measures.

Job Duties:

  • Analyse structures to identify involved entities, customers, key principals, and other identification subjects.
  • Communicate which Due Diligence forms are required and the level of CDD documentation/information necessary.
  • Review, assess, and document CDD as received; communicate any deficiencies or further requirements.
  • Ensure that relevant risk factors are accurately recorded in fiduciary software and maintained as necessary.
  • Create tasks in fiduciary software and track their timely completion.
  • Maintain records to a high standard to ensure data integrity.
  • Respond to queries from colleagues.
  • Review and monitor potential matches and/or adverse hits from screening systems.
  • Assist in producing CDD-related reports for internal committee meetings.
  • Ensure CPD training requirements are met and ongoing training is undertaken.
  • Provide assistance to Directors, Client Service Teams, and the compliance function as needed, to ensure efficient processing and maintenance of CDD and related records.

Job Requirements:

  • Frontline compliance experience, preferably within the fiduciary sector.
  • Familiarity with the GFSC Handbook on Countering Financial Crime (AML/CFT/CPF).
  • Solid knowledge of CDD requirements for trusts, legal persons, and identification subjects, including enhanced measures.
  • Experience in evaluating and processing CDD and risk assessment of identification subjects.
  • Ability to assess the impact of missing or inadequate documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
  • Professional qualification in AML/CFT is preferable.
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive, methodical approach to work.
  • Experience with Acumen and/or Laserfiche is preferred but not essential.
