Personal Lines Broker

This role involves joining an expanding team as a Personal Lines Broker, with considerations for both full-time and part-time applications. The successful candidate will handle various personal lines enquiries, including motor, household, marine, travel, and equine insurance. Responsibilities will encompass all aspects, from new business quoting and processing to managing mid-term adjustments and renewals. The position is primarily office-based, though attendance at client meetings away from the office may also be required. A commitment to client satisfaction is essential, as this role prioritises building strong relationships and ensuring excellent service delivery.

Job Duties:

  • Take responsibility for a number of renewals each month.
  • Obtain up-to-date information from clients.
  • Create risk presentations for insurers and negotiate terms in line with client requirements.
  • Service and assist clients with issuing documentation and setting up policies.
  • Manage own diary effectively and demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ensure all instructions and requirements are handled promptly and accurately while maintaining communication through detailed reports and summaries, including making file notes.

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally possess Cert CII or above, though full on-the-job training will be provided for the trainee position.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, both on the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Exhibit good administration and organisational skills.
  • Be customer service-oriented.
  • Display a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Be flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.
