Senior KYC Analyst

The Senior KYC Analyst is a permanent position based in St Helier, focusing on financial and technical expertise. The role involves close collaboration with the Investor KYC & Due Diligence Manager to facilitate the KYC onboarding, recertifications, and management of trigger events for investors. The successful applicant will provide vital support to the wider BI team, ensuring that all tasks are completed timely and to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include conducting KYC reviews, managing investor recertifications, and processing related changes while adhering to both group and local regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining a positive client and investor experience. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders are essential. The role will also involve guiding junior team members and participating in operational efficiency initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct KYC reviews to support the onboarding of new investors, maintaining adherence to agreed schedules and regulations
  • Undertake investor recertifications independently, ensuring timely and efficient completion
  • Process trigger events and liaise with investors or relevant internal teams
  • Maintain accurate updates in the firm’s systems following changes
  • Ensure accurate screening of all associated parties using relevant systems
  • Review and validate AML/KYC files prepared by peers, ensuring regulatory obligations are met
  • Support KYC reporting to stakeholders and management committees
  • Assist in the oversight of future outsourced activities
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders regarding investor recertification requirements
  • Guide junior team members in KYC procedures and internal processes
  • Manage communal email communications promptly and efficiently
  • Track and resolve queries related to investor maintenance
  • Review sanctions notifications against investor databases
  • Contribute to operational efficiency initiatives and projects
  • Stay informed on regulatory changes and complete mandatory compliance training
  • Adhere to the Group’s Code of Conduct

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years' due diligence experience in a similar environment
  • Experience with various types of funds and understanding of regulatory standards
  • Professional qualification in AML/DD or actively pursuing one
  • Awareness of FATCA and AEOI requirements
  • Knowledge of key regulations related to sanctions and AML
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support team objectives
  • Excellent organisational skills and client-focused approach
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities
