Group Senior Tax Coordinator

This role involves the provision of tax services for a portfolio of fiduciary clients, including the completion of income and corporation tax returns, as well as responding to tax queries. The position is full-time and offers the opportunity to work with a central services team that provides essential support across various functions including technology, finance, compliance, and HR. Candidates will be part of a culture that values teamwork and collaboration, where every voice is heard. Key accountabilities include the preparation of tax reporting for trusts and companies in the Crown Dependencies and UK, drafting communications with tax authorities, updating compliance spreadsheets, and developing relationships within wider office teams. There will also be opportunities for training junior colleagues and partaking in the delivery of training sessions for the team and wider group. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to identifying discrepancies and necessary updates, fostering an open and supportive work environment.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare tax reporting in the Crown Dependencies and UK for trusts and companies.
  • Draft communications with tax authorities and group teams regarding tax payments and returns.
  • Update and maintain tasks and compliance spreadsheets.
  • Prepare tax reviews of accounts to identify key tax risks.
  • Assist management in completing tasks for a key portfolio of clients.
  • Develop relationships within wider office teams.
  • Prepare correspondence with settlors and beneficiaries regarding their tax reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with other departments within the group and draft responses to tax queries from trust administrators.
  • Liaise with clients as required.
  • Deliver training sessions for the team and wider group, under supervision of more senior members.
  • Train and assist junior colleagues with queries/problems.
  • Raise discrepancies in processes and flag them with management, arranging required updates.

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to a minimum of A level standard, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience.
  • Part qualified preferred, but must be working towards a relevant qualification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good numeracy and computer skills.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • A good team player.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
