This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to join a dynamic Global Accounting team. The Director will lead high-performing teams and build strong client relationships while ensuring the delivery of exceptional financial reporting outcomes. Job Duties:
- Lead, manage and develop team members, ensuring work is planned, prioritised and delivered to agreed deadlines and service standards.
- Review and oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements, management accounts, and other client reporting, including complex accounting matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers, including supporting the onboarding of new clients.
- Collaborate with colleagues across jurisdictions to provide accounting guidance, resolve queries, and deliver a consistent client experience.
- Monitor accounting records and reporting deadlines, ensuring records are maintained accurately and regulatory obligations are met.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying efficiencies and promoting effective use of technology and accounting systems.
- Deliver internal training and coaching to support the development of colleagues and build technical capability across the business.
- Identify and support business development opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
- Present financial information clearly and effectively to client boards, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Assess and manage risks to both clients and the firm, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or qualified by relevant experience, with in-depth technical knowledge and practical application of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, including coaching, delegation, and performance management.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex accounting engagements and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to make sound commercial decisions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
