Our client is looking for a Project Manager to join their team on a six-month contract in the Isle of Man. This full-time position involves managing projects independently and supporting the Head of Change Management in implementing initiatives within the business. You will be integral in driving change and improving processes while working alongside four other Project Managers in a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in banking or finance along with demonstrated experience in managing projects. While an understanding of technology is beneficial, strong process improvement skills are paramount. This role will focus on delivering strategic projects that have a measurable impact on the organisation's operations.
JOB DUTIES:
- You will scope, plan, and manage key projects, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through to closure.
- You will define and manage the delivery of project outputs to meet business objectives and facilitate the realisation of identified benefits.
- You will establish and maintain effective governance and control measures—including risk, issue, and quality management—enabling efficient reporting and escalation of any issues.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders to redesign and enhance business processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- You will create and execute detailed project work plans and revise them as necessary to adapt to changing needs and requirements.
- You will contribute to resource allocation and project dashboards for presentations to the Change Management Committee (CMC).
- You will track, manage, and escalate issues and risks, devising remediation or mitigation plans as needed.
- You will actively share best practices within the team and across the organisation to promote continuous improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- You must have at least ten years of experience in leading and delivering business change projects.
- You should have experience managing strategic or large-scale projects successfully.
- You must demonstrate the ability to work across business lines and locations, effectively collaborating within multi-jurisdictional teams.
- You should be familiar with process modelling, workshop facilitation, and structured analysis techniques.
- You must possess advanced Microsoft application skills, particularly in Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for engaging with various levels of the organisation.
- You must be able to manage your workload effectively and work independently.
- It would be advantageous to have knowledge of SharePoint as well as familiarity with project methodologies such as Prince2, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
