Our client is looking for a Financial Crime Compliance Specialist to be based in Jersey. This full-time position aims to implement Group Financial Crime Compliance (GFCC) Policies, Standards, and Procedures within the designated Business Area. The role involves defining and implementing the GFCC Business Area Strategy, providing expert guidance and addressing specific training needs, all in a bid to ensure compliance and mitigate potential operational losses, fines, and reputational risks. The position entails substantial involvement in advising on the collection and maintenance of reliable data to inform critical business decisions. You will also contribute to the technology plan relevant to the Group Compliance Function, while participating in oversight committees and governance structures to meet regulatory and internal policy requirements.
JOB DUTIES:
- Implement GFCC Policies, Standards, and Procedures within the Group Corporate Functions.
- Define and execute the GFCC Business Area Strategy.
- Provide specialised guidance and advice related to GFCC.
- Identify GFCC-specific awareness and training needs for staff.
- Advise on data collection, capturing, and maintenance to ensure reliability in business decisions.
- Contribute to the Group Compliance Function's relevant technology plan.
- Provide domain expertise for the development of required technological solutions.
- Adhere to and implement applicable technology standards set by the IT Function.
- Drive and participate in various oversight committees and forums to monitor the Internal Control Framework.
- Engage with governance structures to meet regulatory demands and internal policies.
- Stay updated on trends and typologies in financial crime to inform the compliance framework and identify potential risks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Possess a First Degree in Risk Management.
- Have 3-4 years of experience in Group Anti Financial Crime.
- Ideally, bring 5-7 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance within the banking or financial industry.
- Demonstrate a profound knowledge of compliance and relevant specialisations.
- Show regulatory awareness and skill in influencing employees across various levels and countries.
- Exhibit expertise in FCC frameworks, risk assessments, and a risk-based compliance approach.
- Maintain a solid understanding of banking products, processes, systems, and data.
- Demonstrate behavioural competencies in practical approaches, articulation of information, decision-making, and upholding standards.
- Possess technical competencies in compliance, regulatory frameworks, legal compliance, good governance, risk management, and strategic planning.
