Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager, Accounting to join their growing team. This full-time role involves providing comprehensive accounting services to a diverse portfolio of real estate and private equity clients. Located in a vibrant working environment, you will be responsible for establishing and fostering strong client relationships, ensuring that expectations are proactively managed. In this pivotal position, you will lead your team in meeting deadlines and performance indicators while overseeing quality control processes. JOB DUTIES:
- Become familiar with company policies and procedures, identifying and implementing necessary efficiencies.
- Demonstrate technical knowledge of fund structure mechanics and processes, serving as a key contact for complex requests.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and external parties, proactively managing client expectations.
- Ensure team deadlines and key performance indicators are met, acting as a key reviewer for workload quality control.
- Oversee administration agreements and ensure timely invoicing for your portfolio of clients.
- Create a cohesive culture between different teams within the business.
- Line manage junior team members, providing coaching and setting objectives during the annual performance cycle.
- Actively manage client mailboxes and junior team workloads, delegating tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to ensure smooth onboarding of new business.
- Review and authorise treasury functions in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Compile, analyse, and review financial information underlying financial statements.
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements and consolidations in accordance with relevant standards.
- Create and review quarterly investor reporting, including management accounts and capital statements.
- Prepare bank debt covenant reporting and investor tax documentation.
- Plan and project manage year-end audits, ensuring a smooth process with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory reporting deadlines.
- Assist and lead on projects, ensuring timely completion and delivery of training as necessary.
- Perform any additional tasks or ad-hoc duties as required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- A qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA professional with a minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience.
- Solid understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP, and other relevant accounting standards.
- Ability to solve practical problems and experience in managing or coaching staff.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain long-lasting relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a high level of accuracy in work.
- Demonstrated experience in project management and overseeing audits.
- A proactive and hands-on approach to managing workloads.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
