Fund Accountant

Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Funds Company, providing bespoke fund administration services across various sectors and fund structures in multiple jurisdictions. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to contribute to a dedicated and growing team. The principal purpose of this role is to oversee day-to-day administration and accounting of Fund Structures, ensuring that accurate financial reporting and bookkeeping processes are maintained. The role entails interaction with clients, offering both accounting and administration support across a range of fund entities. The position requires a highly numeric individual who will assist with all aspects of fund administration, including the preparation of investor reports, financial statements, and managing audits. Your responsibilities will involve liaising with clients and intermediaries, highlighting your essential role in managing client relationships effectively.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Assist with all aspects of day-to-day administration and accounting matters such as calls and distributions, quarterly valuations, management accounts, monthly and quarterly investor reporting, and annual statement preparation of a variety of funds and associated fund structures. Liaise with clients and intermediaries on a daily basis.
  • Oversee the bookkeeping process and the preparation of periodic bank reconciliations for a variety of fund structures.
  • Manage client audits throughout the process.
  • Prepare and review manual and electronic payment instructions to settle entity expenses and complete investment transactions, ensuring accurate bookkeeping.
  • Complete net asset value (NAV) calculations.
  • Produce and review financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and external parties, proactively managing client expectations and turnaround times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Computer literacy skills are essential for this role.
  • Very good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts.
  • A robust technical knowledge of the financial services sector is necessary.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in the fund-based industry is required.
  • The candidate should be professionally qualified, preferably with ACCA or ACA.
