Personal Insurance Broker

Our client is seeking motivated individuals to join their Personal Insurance team in Guernsey. This full-time role provides an excellent opportunity for both individuals starting their careers and those seeking a new challenge. As a Personal Insurance Broker, you will receive comprehensive training and support, guiding you toward professional qualifications while ensuring exceptional service to clients. The position focuses on helping individuals and families safeguard their most valued assets, from homes and cars to holidays. You will be an integral part of a friendly and supportive team, equipped with the necessary tools and training to succeed in your new role.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Provide professional, helpful advice to clients — in person, by phone, and by email.
  • Quote for new policies and make changes to existing cover.
  • Handle client documentation with care and accuracy.
  • Build trusted relationships that encourage loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Support your team in meeting targets.
  • Cross-sell additional products and services that may benefit the client.
  • Follow relevant internal policies and regulatory standards at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You do not need previous insurance experience — just a willingness to learn, a professional attitude, and strong communication skills.
  • Key skills and qualities include being a friendly, confident communicator (written and verbal).
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and without constant supervision is necessary.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with an eagerness to learn is crucial.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with a team.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams, are needed.
