Our client is seeking a full-time Pensions Administrator to join their team in Guernsey. In this role, you will be responsible for administering a diverse portfolio of pension and annuity arrangements, delivering exceptional customer service to a wide spectrum of clients. The position involves daily interaction with both clients and professional intermediaries, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions and compliance with all relevant legislation. You will receive ongoing on-the-job training, supplemented by external courses, to support your professional development in this pivotal role within the team. JOB DUTIES:
- Manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring the provision of high-quality and timely client service.
- Liaise efficiently with professional intermediaries and clients, adhering to agreed service standards.
- Process client transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date statutory records in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Handle new business applications, along with management of death cases and account closures.
- Process internal and external payments and receipts reliably.
- Adhere to scheme rules, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Appoint and oversee third-party providers such as asset managers, auditors, and custodians.
- Maintain accurate systems and records, including the preparation of minutes.
- Proactively raise issues and escalations to your line manager.
- Comply with risk and compliance procedures and address queries from the Compliance Monitoring Program.
- Liaise with compliance and other internal teams as necessary.
- Collect fees and manage debtor positions efficiently.
- Collate and review financial data relevant to the client entity.
- Ongoing evaluation of the appropriateness of third-party appointments, such as investment and financial advisers.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideally educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in pension administration is desirable.
- Demonstrate a commitment to undertaking professional studies.
- Possess the ability to multitask and respond promptly to client and intermediary requests.
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy skills are required.
- Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
- Maintain a positive, 'can do' attitude and be a supportive team player.
- Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
