Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Management Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week with flexible hours available. This role is a key position, responsible for managing the accounts and overseeing the accounts assistant. You will take charge of various accounting functions and ensure that financial operations run smoothly during the transition period. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial health of the organisation while enjoying a supportive and flexible work environment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage wages on a monthly basis, including all related paperwork such as contracts and year-end submissions.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and other regulatory filings.
- Process payments for supplier accounts efficiently and accurately.
- Prepare quarterly management accounts to provide insights into financial performance.
- Oversee credit control processes, ensuring effective management of accounts receivable.
- Handle ad hoc tasks such as renewing insurances and maintaining data protection compliance.
- Collaborate with the accounts team, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure trustworthiness and integrity, as the role includes full access to the bank account.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience in a management accounting role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of accounting practices and principles is required.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A high level of discretion and professionalism in handling financial information is vital.
- While formal accounting qualifications are not required, relevant experience is essential.
