Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to provide leadership and oversight within the Private Client service line. This full-time, permanent role is based in Jersey and involves acting at director level for client companies and regulated entities, while driving operational excellence, governance, and compliance across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a client-centric service, supporting high-net-worth individuals, families, and corporate structures. Reporting into senior leadership, this role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to influence at board and committee level. The position is integral to maintaining regulatory standards, enhancing service delivery, and supporting the ongoing growth and development of teams.
Job Duties:
- Act as a Director on the boards of client companies and corporate directors and/or trustees, where applicable.
- Provide leadership and coaching to teams to ensure delivery of a high-quality, client-focused service.
- Drive operational excellence by promoting data accuracy, completeness, and consistent service standards.
- Monitor and maintain robust control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory and risk management requirements.
- Design and implement efficient and commercially effective compliance and operational processes.
- Act as a key participant in senior management forums, including Commercial, Risk, and Audit Committees.
- Contribute proactively to projects and initiatives, generating innovative ideas and constructively challenging existing practices.
For regulated entity directorships:
- Act as a director on the boards of regulated or licensed entities.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of director responsibilities within the relevant jurisdiction.
- Act with skill, care, diligence, and independence in the best interests of the licence holder.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of governance, business operations, and financial position.
- Allocate sufficient time and demonstrate relevant experience to discharge responsibilities effectively.
Job Requirements:
- Typically 15+ years’ experience in trust and company administration or a related discipline.
- Proven management and leadership experience within a professional services environment.
- Professional qualification to professional level (e.g. ICSA/STEP or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of trust administration, company law, and tax implications of various structures.
- Meets regulatory standards as required by the local regulator.
- Strong digital literacy with experience using technology to improve efficiency and client service delivery.
- Excellent risk management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at senior and board level.
