Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to report to the Head of Information Systems. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the development and optimisation of IT and business operations, particularly in anticipation of further growth and planned expansion. This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in capital markets for a locally based company with international ambitions. Job Duties:

  • Define project scope, develop project plans, schedule, and allocate resources.
  • Coordinate the project team (IT and business), manage project risks, ensure quality control, and handle changes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, manage client/user expectations, and oversee reporting and documentation.
  • Manage the project budget, optimise resources, and handle vendor management.
  • Identify risks, mitigate issues, and facilitate issue resolution.
  • Lead and motivate the team, resolve conflicts, and encourage cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Track progress, adapt to changes, and report on performance.
  • Oversee testing and facilitate user feedback.
  • Ensure final delivery, conduct post-project evaluations, and hand over to operations/support teams.
  • Ensure project compliance and project security.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Ideally hold a Project Management professional qualification, such as Managing Successful Programmes, Project Management Professional, PRINCE2, Agile Project Management, or APMG Change Management.
  • Experience in managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in the finance industry and understanding of markets is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to deliver on agreed deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build consensus and manage expectations.
  • A team player who understands the wider context of the company's activities.
  • Initiative and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • Adaptable and resilient, capable of managing change and uncertainty.
  • Demonstrable alignment with company values.
