Our client is seeking an Acquisition Accountant for an initial 6-month contract. This role will support the Finance and Accounting activities associated with the acquisition of the company acquisition, managing day-to-day project activities as well as other finance-related tasks. Job Duties:
- Manage the financial integration of the acquired company, including:
- PPA accounting support.
- Integration activities and valuation of accounting balances.
- Aligning the treatment of financial assets with group policies.
- Mapping acquired company ledger for group consolidated reporting.
- Provide post-completion accounts support.
- Assist with covenant reporting, asset valuation, impairments, and write-downs.
- Manage debtor strategies, including write-offs, clearances, and transfers.
- Collaborate with external consultants such as auditors, tax advisors, and PPA consultants.
- Agree all treatments with the Group Financial Controller, CFO, or Head of Finance.
- Assist with project-based work and other finance-related duties.
- Provide assistance with tax-related tasks.
Job Requirements:
- Professional accounting qualification or membership of a recognised accounting body, or significant hands-on experience in accounting or auditing.
- High-level IT and Excel skills.
- Strong project and time management skills; self-motivated, well-organised, and a team player.
- Ability to analyse situations, provide solutions, and present financial information to non-financial individuals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in Acquisition Accounting or Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A).
- Experience working in the telecoms or technology sector.
- Exposure to various accounting packages and systems.
