Professional Services Engineer, Unified Communications

Our client is seeking a Professional Services Engineer to support and implement solutions focused on communication and collaboration systems, primarily Mitel, Session Border Controllers, Cloud Voice, and Teams Connect. In this role, you will work within a customer-focused team, committed to delivering excellent solutions and enhancing the in-life customer experience. You will demonstrate strong technical competence, contributing to technology decision-making and advising clients on governance to ensure system stability. Reporting to the Application Support Manager, you will be part of the Professional Services and B2B Operations engineering team, responsible for providing implementation, support, and design assistance for enterprise client projects. You will collaborate closely with the Professional Services Consultants to deliver unified communications solutions. Job Duties:

  • Implement and support unified communications and collaboration solutions for clients.
  • Communicate service deliverables, delivery plans, and progress clearly to customers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction levels are exceeded through professional engagement.
  • Adhere to the internal governance process and ensure services are delivered within budget.
  • Track and document service/project progress in relevant systems.
  • Identify risks and communicate them to the team, maintaining project documentation in internal systems.
  • Update customer tickets within the ticketing system (Service Now).
  • Take part in training programs and stay updated with regulatory compliance, security awareness, and Health and Safety policies.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of telecommunications and application delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with SIP and VoIP systems.
  • Qualifications in one or more of the following:
    • SIP School Certified Associate (SSCA)
    • Ribbon SBCE20 Edge Support & Implementation
    • Microsoft MS700 – Teams Administrator Associate
    • Microsoft AZ900 – Azure Fundamentals
    • Mitel Certified Associate – Communications (MiVoice Business)
    • Mitel Certified Associate – Unified Communications and Collaboration
  • 3-7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Mitel, Ribbon, and industry-standard solutions, including SIP trunking.
  • Experience with Microsoft voice products and SIP messaging protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build client relationships.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations and achieve successful outcomes.
