Our client, a leading provider of fund administration services in Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Fund Accountant for a 6-month contract. The role involves managing the accounting and administration of closed and open-ended investment companies, unit trusts, and limited partnerships, particularly in private equity, property, and infrastructure funds. Job Duties:
- Prepare and oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
- Prepare annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS, and AUS.
- Manage key deliverables in accordance with service level agreements (SLAs).
- Calculate management fees, carried interest, distribution amounts, and perform waterfall calculations.
- Deal with year-end audits and auditor queries.
- Ensure compliance with client documentation and internal processes and procedures.
- Address and investigate client queries.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes and procedures.
- Support ad-hoc departmental project work.
- Keep up to date with technical developments in the fund industry.
Job Requirements:
- Undertaking a professional qualification, ideally ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Ability to prepare final accounts from source documentation.
- Completer/finisher with the ability to see tasks through to completion.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good motivational and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS (training provided).
- Knowledge of private equity, property, and infrastructure funds is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Jersey fund structures and regulatory requirements is preferred.
