Our client is seeking an experienced Programme Manager for a fixed-term contract to lead and drive strategic projects, including mergers and acquisitions, operational changes, and digital platform integrations within the financial services sector. This role requires advanced project management expertise, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement to ensure seamless delivery of initiatives that align with business objectives. You will play a key role in mergers and acquisitions, digital platform integrations, and operational change, while mentoring teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Job Duties:
- Lead the integration and operational alignment of mergers and acquisitions, ensuring seamless transitions, systems integration, and the realisation of value from combined operations.
- Spearhead the introduction and integration of new digital platforms, including document management systems, onboarding solutions, payment platforms, CRM systems, and emerging technologies, to support the company’s strategic ambitions.
- Drive operational change initiatives with a focus on core administration platforms such as Viewpoint, BankClarity, Allvue, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Mentor teams to enhance project management competencies, including agile delivery methods, resource planning, and effective change control.
- Develop and maintain essential project documentation, including user guides, updates to Group Policy and Procedures, and other critical project deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with projects, maintaining an updated RAIDD (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, Decisions) log.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and reporting by maintaining comprehensive project records, including initiation documents, action plans, risk logs, and stakeholder communication plans.
- Manage and influence stakeholder relationships by engaging with key stakeholders to align project objectives with broader business strategies and ensure consistent communication and collaboration.
Job Requirements:
- Significant experience in leading project management teams within the finance or professional services industry at a senior level.
- A digitally savvy individual with a passion for leveraging technology to improve work processes, drive efficiencies, and continuously learn.
- Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams during M&A activities, including due diligence, operational integration, and cultural alignment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across all organisational levels.
- Proven experience in managing end-to-end implementation of digital systems and platforms, from concept to go-live, with a track record of successful delivery.
- Advanced proficiency in change and project management methodologies, including both waterfall and agile frameworks.
- Exceptional IT skills, including expertise in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, and familiarity with other analytics and management information tools.
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Superior organisational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of prioritising tasks and delivering results under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, methodical, and results-driven approach with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude.
