Our client is seeking an IT Support professional to provide first-line technical assistance to internal and external customers. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth IT operations, maintaining network security, and delivering high-quality service in alignment with business objectives. The position offers an opportunity to enhance technical expertise while contributing to process improvements and team development.
Job Duties:
- Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Maintain and update the IT support ticketing system, prioritising and escalating issues as necessary.
- Assist in managing network security and access controls.
- Communicate effectively through appropriate channels to support colleagues and provide on-the-job training.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT systems and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Stay up to date with best practices for system and security management.
- Support the Head of Information Technology in achieving business objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant IT qualifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Technician, or Level 3 BTEC Diploma in IT are desirable.
- Minimum GCSE grades A to C (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.
- A reasonable level of physical fitness due to the role’s physical aspects.
- General knowledge of IT systems, Microsoft server and Exchange environments, VMWare, and Citrix.
- Awareness of current technological developments.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to provide high-quality support.
- Previous IT support experience is beneficial but not required.
