Our client is seeking a Fund Accountant to join their Global Private Capital Services department in Jersey. This full-time role involves the accurate accounting and administration of a portfolio of closed and open-ended investment structures, including companies, unit trusts, and limited partnerships. The role primarily supports private equity, property, and infrastructure funds and offers excellent exposure to a variety of accounting frameworks and client types.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and oversee monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Produce annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS or Australian GAAP
- Manage key deliverables in line with service level agreements
- Calculate management fees, carried interest, distributions, and perform waterfall calculations
- Respond to and resolve queries from auditors during year-end processes
- Ensure all activities comply with client documentation, internal procedures, and regulatory frameworks
- Investigate and resolve client queries in a timely and professional manner
- Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of processes and procedures
- Support ad hoc departmental projects and initiatives
- Stay up to date with technical developments and best practices in the funds industry
Job Requirements:
- Undertaking or holding a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or equivalent, with the ability to prepare final accounts from source documentation, demonstrate a high level of motivation, and work unsupervised
- A completer-finisher mindset with the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritise effectively
- Strong communication, presentation, and time management skills, alongside a willingness to work longer hours when required and contribute as a proactive team player
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS and Australian GAAP being desirable
- Experience in private equity, property or infrastructure funds and familiarity with Jersey fund structures and regulatory requirements is advantageous
