Manager, Policies and Procedures

Our client is seeking a Manager, Policies and Procedures to join their Jersey office on a permanent basis. This role is available on a full-time (35 hours) or part-time basis (minimum 25 hours), with hybrid working offered. As a key member of the Legal, Risk and Governance team, the successful candidate will lead the development and management of internal policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with regulatory standards and business needs. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and enjoys delivering practical, risk-aware solutions.

Job Duties:

  • Manage the policy and procedure submissions log, reviewing new entries and updates
  • Provide expert guidance on policy interpretation and implementation
  • Monitor and respond to local regulatory changes, updating internal procedures as needed
  • Contribute to risk-based projects aimed at strengthening the policy framework
  • Maintain awareness of relevant business tools and technology
  • Act as the gatekeeper for policy submissions and offer internal guidance
  • Build strong relationships with Compliance, Service Line teams, and Group functions
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality service and adherence to deadlines
  • Support awareness and training initiatives related to policies and procedures
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure consistent understanding and application
  • Provide feedback on team performance and contribute to wider management tasks

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in legal or compliance functions
  • Strong academic background and a JFSC-recognised professional qualification (e.g. ICSA, STEP, ICA)
  • In-depth knowledge of local legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience managing projects to successful delivery
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
