Our client is currently seeking a full-time Trust Manager to join their team in Jersey. This role is pivotal in managing the delivery of activities and transactions for a diverse client portfolio, under the guidance of the Associate Director or Client Director. The Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing junior team members, delegating tasks, and reviewing performance while ensuring the highest standards of client service and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the administration of a portfolio of clients while developing and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients.
- Ensure all transactions are properly authorised and recorded with a focus on risk management.
- Manage trust and company portfolios containing complex structures and a variety of assets, including properties, investment portfolios, and vehicles.
- Accurately record all tasks in daily timesheets with clear descriptions, ensuring utilisation is chargeable and recoverable for clients.
- Provide support, coaching, and performance management to the team, keeping the Associate Director and/or Client Director informed and engaged.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key clients and intermediaries, while identifying new opportunities for products and services.
- Conduct all business in accordance with the company’s policies and local regulatory guidelines.
- Embrace and embody the company’s culture and core values.
- Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required.
Job Requirements:
- Strong people and leadership skills, including the ability to develop and mentor others.
- Excellent client relationship management skills, with a focus on understanding clients’ needs and establishing sustainable relationships.
- Comprehensive knowledge of company and trust administration, including statutory requirements of major offshore jurisdictions.
- Regulatory knowledge regarding the local regulator (JFSC) and the ability to identify and manage relevant business risks.
- A commercial mindset regarding the profitability of client portfolios and the evolution of commercial relationships.
- Exceptional prioritisation skills for workload management and delegation to enhance client service delivery.
- Self-motivated with outstanding communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
- Competency in Microsoft Office; experience with Business Central is advantageous.
