IT Administrator

Our client is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Administrator to join their dynamic IT team in Guernsey. This full-time, permanent role reports to the Senior IT Manager and is pivotal in supporting and enhancing IT services, systems, and infrastructure. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality service desk experience, maintain robust IT operations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on IT experience who is passionate about technology, service excellence, and driving operational efficiency.

Job Duties:

• Deliver exceptional L1 and L2+ Service Desk support to internal colleagues.
• Maintain and enhance IT systems, ensuring alignment with SLAs, policies, and risk frameworks.
• Support vendor and partner management to ensure service quality and accountability.
• Own and resolve IT system issues from identification through to resolution.
• Contribute to IT documentation, risk management, and business continuity planning.
• Assist in the procurement, implementation, and improvement of IT solutions.
• Promote and maintain a secure cyber environment and support information security practices.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver excellent customer and colleague experiences.
• Embrace change and continuous learning to support personal and team development.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year in IT operations, engineering, or service desk roles.
• Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.
• Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Windows 11 desktop environments.
• Active Directory and Office 365 support.
• Basic Windows Server administration.
• Understanding of Azure, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with business continuity and risk management practices.
