Our client is seeking an IT Engineer for a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the installation, development, and ongoing support of hardware and software services provided by the IT Team. Job Duties:
- Assist with Operating System patch management through SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
- Assist with the maintenance of baseline builds for departments.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and project teams to offer IT consultancy services.
- Assist with continual improvements and enhancements to internal IT systems.
- Deploy and configure virtual machines within VMware, including managing capacity.
- Deploy, configure, and manage applications using SCCM and Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy, configure, and manage user endpoints using Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy, configure, and manage monitoring and alerting platforms.
- Manage and provide 1st and 2nd line support for IT Helpdesk requests, assisting internal staff, contractors, and third-party users.
- Support and manage Microsoft/Office 365 services delivered to internal customers.
- Support the management of Data Protection tools and services, including file classification and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Work with external third parties and vendors to provide guidance and support for project delivery.
- Understand and comply with relevant licensing and regulatory rules.
- Understand and comply with Data Protection Law as it relates to the position.
- Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities relevant to the role.
- Undertake security awareness training covering information security, data protection, and financial crime, and comply with information security responsibilities.
- Hold a satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure due to the nature of this position.
Job Requirements:
- High-level qualification in computer science, networking, information security, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
- Professional IT accreditations are desirable but not essential.
- 2 or more years’ experience in an IT-related role.
- Ability to communicate effectively with external parties and staff at all levels.
- Ability to maintain a professional approach.
- Experience deploying Virtual Machines within VMware.
- Experience in deploying and configuring user endpoints through Microsoft Intune and utilising Windows Autopilot.
- Experience of deploying and managing public cloud services within Azure.
- Experience of managing IT infrastructure and public/private cloud services.
- Experience supporting Active Directory and Entra ID platforms.
- Experience supporting Office 365, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
- Desirable experience in supporting Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations & Sales and Marketing, and Exchange Online Management Shell.
- Familiarity with deploying and supporting Teams Voice.
- Knowledge of ISO27001 and ISO22301.
- Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Demonstrate a keen interest in current and future technology.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Ability to research and solve problems.
- Flexible attitude with an enthusiastic and spirited approach to tasks.
- Willingness to work unsociable hours as part of the standby scheme and for scheduled maintenance.
