Job Duties:
- Day-to-day bookkeeping, transaction processing, and accounting for clients using the accounting software.
- Keeping up-to-date accounting records for client entities, focusing on bank statements, agreements, invoices, contracts, resolutions, and signed documents.
- Liaising with the Administration Team on account queries to ensure proper bookkeeping.
- Reconciling all ledger items with supporting documents while maintaining schedules and workings.
- Staying informed about changes to the relevant financial, legal, and regulatory frameworks affecting the company.
- Preparing and maintaining loan interest schedules.
- Updating the accounts monitoring system.
- Adhering to the company’s vision and values of client focus, excellence in execution, integrity, innovation, value, development, and leadership.
- Inputting time in the billing system daily.
- Performing any other duties as required according to the demands of the role.
Job Requirements:
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently and accurately under pressure.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills, essential for developing strong relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- Strong computer literacy and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Practical experience in, or demonstrable knowledge of, the financial services industry.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
- Knowledge of the establishment of company and trust structures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- An enquiring mind capable of questioning, researching, applying, and sharing learning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to adapt to various bespoke IT/accounting systems and banking platforms.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to assist the team as necessary.
