Officer, Custodian Trustee

Our client is seeking an Officer, Custodian Trustee to focus on oversight monitoring and governance functions while also offering administrative responsibilities. This full-time role involves reviewing and reconciling daily, monthly, quarterly and other periodic valuations for Guernsey regulated funds.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain the breach register and monitor the status of Custodian Trustee checks.
  • Conduct annual account and Scheme Particular reviews.
  • Handle open and closed reporting and manage GFSC notifications.
  • Support and assist with the on-site visit programme.
  • Monitor regulatory activities of each fund.
  • Familiarise with and review the rules relating to the schemes for which we are Custodian Trustee.
  • Assist in the investigation and review of actual and potential breaches and pricing errors.
  • Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and other periodic valuation reconciliations and complete the associated CMO checks.
  • Review and check the accuracy of procedure updates, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
  • Support senior colleagues with completing audit processes where required.
  • Provide cover support for financials, billing fees, updating the ‘Fund BIBLE’, and reviewing income distributions and fee calculation checks.
  • Chase AGM notices and cover NAV sheet preparation.

Job Requirements:

  • Good Guernsey Funds background, with custodian or administration experience.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the rules and GFSC guidance notes applicable to Collective Investment Scheme business in Guernsey.
  • Working knowledge of pricing sources such as IDS and Bloomberg.
  • Familiarity with the banking computer system and sound network application skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective personal organisation, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow through internal and external courses as required.
