Senior / Trust Administrator

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic Trust Administrator / Senior Administrator who demonstrates core values and wishes to build a rewarding career delivering client service excellence. This role is a permanent contract within a trust and corporate services team, supporting high-net-worth individuals and their families.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with the set-up and maintenance of client information in the database and statutory records, including minutes of directors and shareholders meetings, and trustee resolutions.
  • Complete the day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance, including monthly reconciliations and downloading of statements.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of entity bank accounts and review incoming funds into client bank accounts, working towards competency in liaising with bankers over remittance of money, deposit accounts, investment transactions, and settlement instructions.
  • Prepare emails for senior team members and carry out call backs while taking telephone messages.
  • Prepare routine investment review minutes and develop an understanding of the firm’s policies and procedures and their impact on day-to-day work.
  • Develop an awareness of tax and gain knowledge on the formation of legal entities and trusts.
  • Update the timekeeping system in line with expectations and strive to meet utilisation targets.

Job Requirements:

  • Successful attainment of a minimum of 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade 4 (or C) and above, including English and Maths.
  • Effective and confident communication skills with the ability to converse with a range of people.
  • Ability to organise work schedule over the short term, with support if needed.
  • Ability to work to specified standards and service levels, proposing solutions to straightforward daily problems.
  • Evidence a positive and committed approach to teamwork, understanding the importance of collaboration for excellent client service.
  • For Senior Administrator: a sound understanding of tasks across multiple activities, potentially working towards STEP or CGI or equivalent while meeting CPD requirements.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to adapt style to suit various audiences and situations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve non-complex issues, prioritise tasks, and complete them within deadlines, with appropriate support and direction.
