New Business Manager

Our client is an independent, leading provider of bespoke private wealth, corporate administration, and yacht services to companies, individuals, and families across the globe. The New Business Manager will assist with the day-to-day operations of new business within the trust administration department before handing over to the client administration teams. This position involves managing a range of complex tasks, including obtaining required documentation to establish or take on an entity or structure, as well as preparing all necessary constitutional documentation. The successful candidate will act as a signatory for client bank accounts and documentation pertinent to the establishment or take-on process. Additionally, this role includes the responsibility of developing and mentoring junior members of the trust department concerning new business processes. The role is suitable for individuals at either Manager or Assistant Manager levels.

Job Duties:

  • Undertake client discovery and application processes.
  • Ensure statutory records are accurately maintained and kept up to date.
  • Review and approve identification while obtaining all necessary due diligence for new business.
  • Prepare all required internal documentation, liaising with the new business committee for client acceptance sign-off.
  • Attend and present at the New Business Committee (Client Risk Committee) as required.
  • Oversee the establishment or take-on process of entities or structures, including incorporation and registry updates.
  • Complete the current stage 4 process to facilitate client handover to the ongoing service administration team.
  • Review and sign off stage 4 checklists where applicable.
  • Oversee the completion of new business reporting, presenting to relevant parties on a monthly basis.
  • Liaise with relevant parties throughout the new business process, attending meetings with clients and intermediaries as necessary.
  • Maintain communication with clients and intermediaries via telephone and written correspondence throughout the establishment process.
  • Assist junior staff with queries and problems in the Trust Department.
  • Support the Associate Director as needed.
  • Monitor the work allocated to other departments assisting with the new business process.
  • Supervise junior members of the team, if applicable.
  • Attend business development meetings as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.
  • Achieved or currently studying towards a relevant professional qualification, such as STEP Certificate/Diploma.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional team player.
  • Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong managerial skills.
