Our client is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Data Team on a permanent basis, working 35 hours per week. The primary responsibility of the Data Engineer will be to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade data solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric workloads and SQL Server, ensuring a secure, efficient, and scalable approach to data management. This role combines engineering expertise with database administration skills and a strong business focus to support the organisation's data strategy and governance framework. The Data Engineer will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify suitable use cases and data workloads that provide measurable value in alignment with organisational objectives. Key responsibilities include the implementation and ongoing management of central data models, leveraging Medallion architecture and Kimball methodology to create scalable, governed data pipelines. Utilising Microsoft technologies will be paramount, including Fabric (Data Pipelines, Notebooks, Dataflows, Lakehouses, Warehouses), T-SQL, and Power BI, to ensure timely, reliable, and high-quality data solutions.
