Our client is seeking a Senior Administrator in Fund Administration with a keen focus on Board Support. This full-time role is based in St Helier, Jersey, and involves providing day-to-day administration and company secretarial services for a varied portfolio of client funds and investment structures. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate governance codes, principles of best practice, and company secretarial procedures. Duties will include liaising with Board members, preparing agendas, action points, and minutes for meetings, and ensuring good Corporate Governance principles are followed. The role also necessitates administering a portfolio of fund structures, developing strong working relationships with team members and clients, and providing innovative solutions to client queries. Additionally, the candidate will need to monitor and manage risk exposure, mentor junior team members, and ensure timely billing and debt collection. A strong understanding of local regulatory matters is essential, as is the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
Job Duties:
- Liaising with Board members and managing the timely preparation of agendas, action points, and minutes arising from each meeting.
- Ensuring adherence to good Corporate Governance principles concerning all company secretarial matters.
- Attending board meetings and leading the agenda, supporting the Chair.
- Administering a portfolio of fund structures, including regulated and unregulated vehicles.
- Developing close working relationships with team members and relevant clients.
- Providing innovative and practical answers to client queries while remaining aware of commercial concerns and technical accuracy.
- Ensuring compliance with KYC procedures to maintain knowledge of client business.
- Monitoring risk profiles of client matters under administration and addressing high-risk matters appropriately.
- Acting as a mentor to junior team members, providing guidance and advice.
- Ensuring effective and timely billing and debt collection.
- Undertaking any other duties as reasonably required for this role.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. ACCA Intermediate level, ICSA Diploma, CIB, STEP Diploma) and senior administration experience in the offshore industry.
- Excellent organisational and client management skills, with knowledge of relevant legislation and the local regulatory environment.
- Proven experience in writing concise and accurate minutes.
- Professional manner with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels.
- Advanced technical knowledge, including familiarity with the software and systems used by our client.
- Strong time management skills and an understanding of client files.
- Appreciation for financial management issues.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills for maintaining strong client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of compliance and technical issues, acting as a role model for peers and junior staff.
