Assistant Trust Officer

Our client is seeking an Assistant Trust Officer to join their Trust team, where they will play a vital role in administering a portfolio of Trust and Corporate clients. This full-time position involves building strong relationships with clients and ensuring the highest quality of service is consistently delivered on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for various administrative tasks, such as accurately processing client banking instructions and ensuring proper recording of chargeable time. Additionally, the assistant will act as the primary or secondary relationship manager for several clients within the team and will be tasked with drafting precise written communications, including letters, emails, and minutes. They will also consult with and escalate issues to senior team members to mitigate risks and solve problems. It is crucial that review comments compliance (revcomps) as well as client due diligence (CDD) are maintained according to the established guidelines set forth by the Risk and Compliance department.

Job Duties:

  • Routine administration for clients
  • Accurately actioning client banking instructions
  • Ensuring that chargeable time is properly recorded against clients and invoices are raised in a timely fashion
  • Acting as primary and/or back-up relationship manager for a number of clients
  • Constructing accurate written communications – letters, emails, and minutes
  • Consulting and escalating issues and exceptions to senior team members
  • Completing review comments compliance (revcomps)
  • Maintaining client due diligence (CDD) in accordance with guidelines

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant trust and corporate experience
  • A proven academic record
  • Commenced studying for a relevant qualification
  • A commitment to a career in trust and corporate administration
  • Accurate written and effective verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
  • A demonstrated commitment to consistently providing quality client service
  • Good team skills and flexibility to adapt to changes and the needs of the business
  • Detail-oriented and analytical mindset
  • Capable of working in a deadline/volume driven environment while maintaining accuracy and focus
