Temporary Senior Private Client Accounting Officer

Our client is a young yet highly experienced office based in Guernsey, specialising in fiduciary and fund administration within the venture capital sector. The temporary Senior Private Client Accounting Officer will support the Fiduciary team by providing day-to-day accounting services. Job Duties:

  • Provide book-keeping and accounts preparation for a mixed portfolio of clients from various jurisdictions.
  • Ensure processes and controls are adhered to.
  • Manage workloads to maintain the required minimum chargeability.
  • Calculate accruals and prepayments.
  • Reconcile investment portfolios, dividends, and withholding tax.
  • Raise and monitor issues identified during accounts preparation with administrators.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with relevant terms of trusts and engagements.
  • Review financial statements for quality assurance.
  • Provide accounting support and assistance to the administrative team with ad-hoc client queries.
  • Assist in planning workloads for compliance with external reporting obligations.
  • Prepare any ad-hoc reports for client or board meetings as needed.
  • Liaise with tax advisors for annual tax reporting preparation.
  • Input daily exchange rates and assist with new entity data input.
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of share certificates for the Fund team.
  • Generate monthly/quarterly management accounts as required.
  • Complete daily timesheets to ensure accurate client billing.
  • Deliver accurate and well-presented accounts within agreed deadlines.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years’ industry experience.
  • Part qualified or qualified accountant.
  • Strong systems knowledge and experience.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately under pressure.
