In the role of Assistant Manager, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Manager and contributing to the training and development of the team. This is a client-facing position responsible for managing a portfolio of clients while acting as a reviewer for the team's work, ensuring quality and compliance with the highest standards. You will also oversee projects and lead the onboarding of new clients.
Job Duties:
- Act as a key point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, building strong and trusted relationships.
- Undertake client work as required, including attending external Board meetings and General Meetings, reviewing and preparing all related documentation, drafting minutes within specified timeframes, and effecting any post-meeting actions.
- Provide advice and support to Boards in line with individual skill set and experience.
- Manage and undertake bespoke client projects on both an ad-hoc and long-term basis.
- Develop, implement, and maintain governance-related policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate governance best practices and client-specific regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review incorporations of Guernsey entities, ensuring timely completion of statutory filings and the payment of relevant fees.
- Prepare and review registered office and resident agent related work.
- Lead the client onboarding process to ensure alignment with internal policies and procedures.
- Actively manage the team’s meeting calendar, maintaining an up-to-date log of outstanding client-related tasks, ensuring effective coordination and timely follow-up.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory filing obligations and requirements.
- Perform general administrative duties for clients, as and when required.
- Liaise effectively and efficiently with clients, service providers, and internal departments.
- Support, mentor, and develop the team under the Manager's guidance.
- Identify and proactively address potential challenges in client service delivery.
- Attend business development meetings and events to promote services and generate new business.
- Engage in continued development to stay current with constitutional, regulatory, and listing requirements relevant to clients.
- Provide other related support services as needed.
Job Requirements:

- Sound practical knowledge of relevant statutory requirements, corporate governance frameworks, and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of onboarding and due diligence requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations.
- Proven track record of drafting clear, concise, and accurate meeting minutes.
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines while ensuring quality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with a willingness to learn and utilise new software packages.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Highly organised and methodical, with a strong sense of responsibility and determination to consistently meet deadlines.
