Compliance Analyst

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, hard-working, and motivated compliance or risk professional to join their Regulatory Compliance Team, at analyst level. The successful candidate will take ownership of the compliance monitoring programme, overseeing testing, compiling test results, and ensuring that any identified actions are completed. Additional responsibilities include managing the Corporate Governance Risk Committee, assisting with quarterly board reporting, and undertaking sanctions screening on clients while maintaining the Sanctions Screening Register. The role also entails contributing to the updates of policies and procedures, helping to review regulatory notices, and assisting with updates to the compliance framework. The candidate will provide compliance support to staff across various teams and may have the opportunity to become the Nominated Officer following successful completion of probation.

Job Duties:

  • Take ownership of the compliance monitoring programme, undertaking testing and compiling results.
  • Oversee the management of the Corporate Governance Risk Committee, including setting up meetings and managing actions.
  • Assist the Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Compliance Officer with quarterly board reporting.
  • Conduct sanctions screening on clients and maintain the Sanctions Screening Register.
  • Contribute to updates of policies and procedures.
  • Review regulatory notices and identify actions needed for compliance.
  • Assist in updating the compliance framework and Business Risk Assessments.
  • Help develop the compliance staff training plan and provide training as required.
  • Provide support with the review and maintenance of risk registers.
  • Offer compliance support to various teams across the business.
  • Attend Business Committee meetings and provide compliance feedback for new business cases.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant compliance or legal qualification such as ICA Certificate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar risk-based environment.
  • Solid understanding of the regulatory framework.
  • Analytical approach and mindset with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, responsive to colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to develop new initiatives and improve client experiences.
  • Willingness to undertake further qualifications as necessary.
  • Proficient in using technology effectively to evolve policies and procedures.
  • Committed to the development of skills and knowledge through training and experience.
