Data Quality Analyst

The Data Quality Analyst will play a vital role in the development and implementation of data quality and reporting strategies, as well as remediation strategies. This position is responsible for monitoring all operational efforts to remediate data across various business units, ensuring consistency in the use of data quality artefacts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data management and quality, with experience in the financial services sector, providing insights into data governance and regulatory matters. The role involves assisting in enforcing and embedding approved governance principles and policies while also developing data quality monitoring dashboards. Additionally, the successful candidate will ensure the timely and accurate reporting of data remediation efforts. This is a full-time position with a focus on relationship building with Data Stewards and business stakeholders to manage data standards and business rules effectively.

Job Duties:

• Contribute to the development and implementation of data quality strategies.
• Monitor operational efforts to remediate data across business units.
• Ensure consistency in data quality artefact usage across relevant business units.
• Assist in enforcing approved governance principles and policies.
• Develop data quality monitoring dashboards.
• Enable extraction of data from disparate systems for profiling and comparison.
• Ensure automation of daily, weekly, and monthly profiling in chosen toolsets.
• Manage data standards and business rules in collaboration with Data Stewards and stakeholders.
• Execute governance processes to enhance and maintain business rules.

Job Requirements:

• First Degree in Information Technology or related studies.
• 3-4 years of data management experience with knowledge of data quality.
• Understanding of data quality management relating to financial services data.
• Knowledge of systems and data principles for data quality management.
• Project management experience and exposure to governance and regulatory matters.
