Our client is seeking a Corporate Services Manager to join their dynamic team in Jersey. This integral role is pivotal to the business's success and supports the reputation for delivering exceptional client services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of corporate structures and ensuring compliance with relevant laws while upholding the high standards expected by clients. This role requires both independent and collaborative working across departments. As part of a small team within Corporate Services, the manager will supervise and mentor staff, ensuring continual professional development and adherence to company procedures. You will also engage with clients directly, facilitating meetings and managing expectations. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to thrive in a fast-paced environment where proactive problem-solving and a client-centric focus are essential.
Job Duties:
- Supervise and assist in training staff within the department, providing regular feedback and identifying additional training needs.
- Oversee staff, including mentoring, counselling, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Manage client work in progress, ensuring timely billing and debt collection within 90 days.
- Administer and take responsibility for a varied portfolio, ensuring compliance with client needs and legislation.
- Foster and manage client relationships, attending meetings as appropriate.
- Keep the Corporate Services Director informed of client matters and business activity.
- Prepare minutes and resolutions for entities under management, ensuring they are reviewed, signed, and filed promptly.
- Ensure timely submission of reports, accounts, and external returns, maintaining statutory registers accurately.
- Handle client correspondence with professionalism and efficiency.
- Complete client take-on documentation, ensuring relevant approvals are obtained before commencing administration.
- Keep Compliance colleagues updated on changes in client circumstances.
- Address Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Due Diligence issues as necessary.
- Collaborate on new business proposals with the Corporate Services Director.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators and address any adverse variances.
- Undertake additional duties as required by the role and the evolving nature of the business.
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Viewpoint and Jersey corporate structures.
- Strong organisational skills and an understanding of applicable AML legislation.
- Detailed knowledge of procedures relative to the role.
- Proficiency in accountancy and bookkeeping.
- Understanding of Jersey company law.
- Possession of a recognised industry professional qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years post-qualifying experience in the fiduciary sector and/or at least 10 years industry experience.
- Current operating level at Manager level.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, drive, and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude.
