Trust Manager

Our client is looking for a Trust Manager to lead their trust team within the Trust Services department in Guernsey. This pivotal role involves providing oversight and cohesive leadership while ensuring exceptional client service and effective relationship management. The Trust Manager will be responsible for coordinating daily operations and workflows, collaborating closely with senior management to drive efficiency within the team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of fiduciary entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and that all risks are appropriately addressed. The role includes acting as a lead relationship manager for a select portfolio of high-value clients and may necessitate attendance at client meetings, including potential travel outside Guernsey. Our client seeks a proactive leader with a robust management background who can inspire and develop their team to excel. Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to the trust team
  • Ensure high standards of client service and relationship management
  • Manage and organise daily workflows in collaboration with directors and senior managers
  • Administer complex and bespoke services while identifying and mitigating risks
  • Take on overall responsibility for a diverse portfolio of fiduciary entities
  • Act as the lead relationship manager for a portfolio of high-value structures
  • Attend client meetings and travel outside Guernsey when required
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and ensure the team is updated
  • Focus on staff development through guidance, training, and performance feedback
  • Hold regular team meetings to share important information and updates
  • Provide coverage for team portfolios during absences as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant management experience with strong interpersonal skills
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in managing trust structures
  • Qualification in STEP, CGI, or a similar professional qualification, or working towards one
  • Proactive and forward-thinking with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven track record in leading teams and fostering staff development
  • Able to work to deadlines and meet established KPIs
  • Act as a brand ambassador embodying the values of responsible ambition
