Job Duties:
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of client information in the database and statutory records, including minutes of directors’ and shareholders’ meetings and trustee resolutions.
- Complete day-to-day bookkeeping for companies and trusts up to trial balance, including monthly reconciliations and downloading of statements.
- Assist with the opening and closing of entity bank accounts and review incoming funds into client bank accounts, working towards becoming proficient in liaising with bankers regarding money remittance, deposit accounts, investment transactions, and settlement instructions.
- Prepare emails for senior team members, take telephone messages, and conduct call backs.
- Prepare routine investment review minutes.
- Develop an understanding of the firm’s policies and procedures and how they impact day-to-day work.
- Gain awareness of tax regulations and note any warning messages while learning about the formation of legal entities and trusts.
- Update the timekeeping system according to expectations and strive to meet utilisation targets.
Job Requirements:
- Successful attainment of a minimum of 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grade 4 (or C) and above, to include English and Maths.
- Effective and confident communication skills, with the ability to converse with a diverse range of individuals.
- Ability to organise work schedules over the short term, with support when necessary.
- Capability to work to specified standards and service levels and propose solutions to resolve straightforward daily problems.
- A positive and committed approach to teamwork, understanding the importance of collaboration in delivering excellent client service.
