Assistant Trust Manager

This role is critical for managing a portfolio of private wealth relationships, ensuring day-to-day service delivery expectations are met. Additionally, the Assistant Trust Manager will support the Trust Manager in the efficient management of their section, providing technical and managerial support to junior staff as necessary. The position offers opportunities to work with various international clients across all asset classes, enabling professional growth in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. The contract is a full-time position, with specific tasks varying from day-to-day.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and maintain client relationships, ensuring adherence to KPIs and company standards.
  • Understand offshore structures and related principles and practices.
  • Prioritise workload and ensure deadlines are met for both personal and delegated tasks.
  • Liaise with other departments regarding accounting, taxation, and operational issues.
  • Anticipate and address potential technical problems regarding client issues.
  • Assist junior team members with complex aspects of client management.
  • Develop professional relationships with intermediaries and service providers.
  • Participate in the review of company and trust accounts and financial reports.
  • Attend meetings with clients and intermediaries to foster business development.
  • Identify new business opportunities by understanding client needs.
  • Report complaints and operational risks in line with local legislation and company procedures.
  • Champion company values by promoting professionalism and teamwork.
  • Assist in managing Key Performance Indicators for junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to the training and development of team members.
  • Keep up to date with industry publications and developments in wealth management.

Job Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of offshore fiduciary services with a proven track record.
  • Experience in managing complex offshore fiduciary issues.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities.
  • Understanding of financial markets and general financial principles.
  • Knowledge of compliance issues and regulatory frameworks.
  • Willingness to participate in personal development and training initiatives.
