Trust Manager

The Trust Manager will be responsible for managing a private client administration team, handling primary client relationships with complex clients, and providing technical support and guidance to team members. This role includes assistance with business development to enhance services for existing clients and will involve maintaining relationships with intermediary providers. The Trust Manager will strive to improve profitability while minimising exposure to risk and ensuring high-quality service delivery. The position may require business travel and some work outside standard hours.

Job Duties:

  • Manage and maintain client relationships in accordance with KPIs and company standards.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of offshore trusts, companies, and related structures.
  • Assist junior team members with complex aspects of client relationship management.
  • Liaise with other departments regarding accounting and taxation issues.
  • Attend meetings with existing and prospective clients and intermediaries.
  • Seek out new business opportunities and expand the existing client base.
  • Report complaints and operational risks in accordance with local legislation and company procedures.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Participate in staff appraisals and support with recruitment and performance management.
  • Attend seminars and workshops to enhance professional and technical knowledge.

Job Requirements:

  • A proven track record in offshore fiduciary services and handling complex fiduciary issues.
  • Significant experience in client relationship management.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with staff, intermediaries, and clients.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Sound judgement and good presentation skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance issues and the regulatory framework.
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field, such as business, law, or accountancy.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in fiduciary services, with at least 3 to 5 years in a management role.
