Business Systems & Data Manager

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to spearhead the development of business applications and data capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and enhancing core business systems and data reporting while introducing innovative solutions. The position involves leading a small technical team and collaborating closely with the IT Operations team as well as business stakeholders to ensure the systems support a diverse range of internal operations and meet the needs of thousands of external customers. Job Duties:

• Managing and improving core business systems and data reporting.
• Introducing new solutions to enhance existing platforms.
• Leading a small technical team.
• Working closely with the IT Operations team and business stakeholders.
• Overseeing internal development work while setting technical direction.
• Leading system-related change or projects with minimal disruption.
• Assessing and introducing new technologies, including emerging AI capabilities.
• Managing and configuring business applications.
• Collaborating with suppliers to deliver updates, enhancements, and new capabilities.
• Developing reporting and analytics, including working with SQL queries.
• Providing technical support and expertise for business applications.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading a technical team.
• Ability to set technical direction and oversee development work.
• Experience in leading system-related changes or projects with minimal disruption.
• Familiarity with assessing and introducing new technologies, particularly AI.
• Proficiency in managing and configuring business applications.
• Experience in working with suppliers for updates and enhancements.
• Strong skills in developing reporting and analytics, especially with SQL.
• Organisational and detail-focused, capable of balancing multiple priorities.
• A genuine passion for IT.
