Senior Associate, Private Clients

This full-time role based in Saint Helier, Jersey, involves providing trust and company administration services to a diverse Private Client portfolio. The position requires ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards while delivering high-quality client service. The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years of experience in trust and company administration or financial services. Key responsibilities include managing complex client entities, maintaining tax compliance, and serving as the first point of contact for allocated client relationships. Moreover, the role requires overseeing accounting records, managing billing cycles, and contributing to team development. Candidates are expected to possess strong technical knowledge of trust administration and Jersey company law, as well as a diploma-level professional qualification (e.g., CGI/STEP) preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Manage complex client entities including trusts and companies, ensuring all statutory and governance requirements are met.
  • Maintain tax compliance through timely returns and payments.
  • Handle client correspondence promptly and escalate when needed.
  • Record and circulate detailed attendance notes.
  • Prepare minutes and meeting documentation.
  • Act as first point of contact for allocated client relationships.
  • Oversee accounting records and annual accounts with the Client Accounting Solutions team.
  • Manage billing cycles and review invoices with senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate database and statutory records.
  • Monitor aged debt and coordinate with Finance and Directors.
  • Complete periodic client reviews as scheduled.
  • Ensure colleagues are briefed before periods of leave.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and escalate risks appropriately.
  • Support, mentor, and guide junior team members.
  • Assist Managers with daily operational needs and contribute to team development.

Job Requirements:

  • A level or degree education.
  • Diploma level professional qualification (e.g., CGI/STEP) preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in trust and company administration or financial services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of trust administration, Jersey company law, and relevant tax considerations.
  • Solid IT capability.
