Trust Assistant Manager

The role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of a portfolio of offshore companies and trusts, encompassing a wide variety of tasks with varying complexity. The successful candidate will provide supervision to a small team of administration staff located in Jersey. This position will also require acting as a signatory to client bank accounts and operating boards as per client signing arrangements. The work environment is fast-paced and rewarding, providing opportunities to service a diverse range of international clients across all asset classes. Candidates should be prepared to liaise with clients and intermediaries, ensuring efficient communication both in writing and verbally. Additionally, the position requires assistance in training junior staff and conducting performance reviews.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure statutory records are maintained and up to date at all times
  • Review and approve payments and board resolutions/minutes as a signatory
  • Adhere to internal policies and procedures
  • Liaise with internal departments on legal, accounting, and taxation matters
  • Communicate with clients and intermediaries regarding various complex matters
  • Train and assist junior staff with queries and problems
  • Support the manager as necessary in daily operations
  • Conduct performance and objective reviews of team members
  • Provide advice and assistance in managing the team daily

Job Requirements:

  • Educated to ‘A’ Level standard, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
  • Achieved or currently studying towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g., STEP Certificate/Diploma)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Strong team player
  • Ability to work to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong supervisory skills and capability to manage a team
