Senior Trust Manager

This Senior Trust Manager role requires a minimum of ten years’ relevant experience within the trust industry and ideally a professional qualification such as STEP or CGI/ICSA. The position represents a senior leadership opportunity that involves overseeing a team, managing complex portfolios, developing client relationships, and enhancing operational efficiency, accuracy, and profitability. The successful candidate will demonstrate significant management experience, possess strong commercial awareness, and have a proven track record in delivering outstanding client service. This position reports to the Director/Head of Administration and entails daily management responsibilities alongside strategic oversight. Furthermore, it includes maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory requirements and requires adeptness in client relationship management. 

Job Duties:

  • Oversee a team of administrators in all aspects of trust and company administration and manage the day-to-day operations of the team and its systems.
  • Serve as a filter/solution provider between administrators and the client service director, progressing towards becoming the primary relationship contact for an allocated portfolio of clients.
  • Enhance team profitability through effective analysis and reporting.
  • Improve team accuracy and reduce error rates.
  • Identify and implement measures required to meet targets established by Directors.
  • Participate in internal committee meetings as necessary.
  • Assist the Trust Director/Head of Administration in meeting the team's billable and other targets while ensuring compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage, train, and delegate tasks to team members while supporting their professional development.
  • Resolve complex operational issues referred by team members and the management team with appropriate support from Directors.

Job Requirements:

  • A relevant professional qualification, such as STEP or ICSA.
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience in the trust industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of trust and company administration, including financial transaction recording and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Proven track record of excellence in client service.
  • Successful experience in engaging with clients.
  • Ability to meet billing and cash collection targets along with deadlines.
  • Experience in team oversight, meeting key risk indicators.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to drive task execution while managing others effectively.
  • Capability to foster collaboration and teamwork.
  • Previous management experience is essential.
