Client Accountant (part qualified)

This role presents an excellent opportunity for individuals studying towards an accounting qualification, responsible for managing a small portfolio of clients while providing oversight and assistance to junior team members when necessary. The position operates in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, delivering personal and efficient services to a variety of international clients across all asset classes. Duties include the preparation of financial statements and ad-hoc reporting, as well as liaising with clients and their advisers on accounting-related matters. The role fosters teamwork and collaboration while promoting a culture of professionalism and leadership. The position is part-time, details regarding daily working hours can be provided upon enquiry.

Job Duties:

  • Preparation of a small portfolio of financial statements
  • Assisting junior team members in resolving simple queries
  • Preparation of ad-hoc reporting, including management accounts, loan interest schedules, and asset statements
  • Collaborating closely with the team to provide necessary support
  • Liaising with clients and their professional representatives on accounting-related matters, as requested
  • Championing the company’s values to build morale and team spirit
  • Identifying areas for personal development and actively seeking assistance

Job Requirements:

  • Part ACCA qualified
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trust and Company accounts preparation
  • Experience with IFRS, FRS 102, and FRS 102 Section 1A accounts
  • Ability to prepare accounts of a moderately simple nature for Trusts and Companies
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills, particularly in spreadsheet applications
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented professional
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive 'can do' attitude and ability to work to deadlines
