This position is for an experienced Trust Officer responsible for administering a portfolio of trust and company structures. The successful individual will manage their portfolio with minimal supervision, exercising sound judgement while proactively identifying issues and taking ownership from initiation through to completion. The role demands a strong technical foundation alongside excellent organisational skills and commercial awareness. Additionally, the officer will develop trusted relationships with clients, intermediaries, and professional advisers, ensuring that all fiduciary duties and internal procedures are adhered to. The role encompasses various duties, including preparing and reviewing documentation, processing transactions, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also provide guidance to trust administrators and contribute to enhancing efficiency and service delivery while ensuring a culture of accountability and proactivity.
Job Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of trust, company, and ancillary structures in accordance with fiduciary duties, internal procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and review trust and company resolutions, minutes, agreements, and associated documentation.
- Process distributions, investment subscriptions, loan transactions, company actions, and other fiduciary transactions.
- Review annual returns, financial statements, and other statutory filing requirements.
- Liaise with legal, tax, and accounting advisers to assist in implementing professional advice.
- Assist with entity incorporations, restructures, liquidations, and terminations where required.
- Maintain awareness of liquidity requirements, investment holdings, and upcoming obligations affecting client structures.
- Ensure structures remain compliant with relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Review and monitor FATCA, CRS, Economic Substance, and other compliance obligations applicable to structures under administration.
- Support periodic reviews and regulatory projects as required.
- Maintain full and accurate audit trails and documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to trust administrators and junior team members.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and risk management.
- Demonstrate a culture of ownership, accountability, and proactivity in day-to-day activities.
Job Requirements:
- STEP qualified or actively working towards STEP qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in trust and company administration.
- Strong understanding of fiduciary, AML/CFT, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
