The successful candidate will engage in various tasks, including the development and maintenance of documentation that accurately describes system behaviour and integrations. The analyst will also collaborate closely with solution architects, support data migration activities, enhance user experiences, and contribute to significant transformation initiatives within the organisation. This role is pivotal in ensuring that technical solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant, allowing for successful new product launches and regulatory changes. Job Duties:
- Elicit, analyse, and document business requirements related to core banking domains
- Translate regulatory, operational, and product requirements into clear functional specifications
- Act as a subject matter expert on banking processes, product behaviour, and lifecycle events
- Convert business requirements into detailed technical requirements, including API contracts, data models, and integration flows
- Collaborate with solution architects to validate architectural decisions and ensure alignment with target-state banking architecture
- Support design of integrations between core banking systems, payment engines, and digital channels
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine epics, features, and user stories
- Write clear, testable user stories with acceptance criteria that reflect both business and technical needs
- Support data migration and data quality activities, including legacy-to-target data mapping and validation rules
- Define functional and integration test scenarios and support testing phases to validate solutions
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in financial services technology
- Business Analysis Certification, such as IIBA CBAP® or CCBA®, is preferred
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in financial services with strong hands-on experience with core banking platforms
- Solid understanding of banking products and accounting principles, and experience supporting regulatory change and compliance-driven initiatives
- Strong understanding of API-driven architectures, microservices, and data models
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with strong documentation and communication skills
