The role of the Client Services Director involves acting as a director on specific client cases, providing advisory and fiduciary services according to relevant agreements and laws. This position focuses on business development and enhancing client relationships, both new and existing. The job entails proactive management of a portfolio of client entities, supported by administration teams. There will be a strong emphasis on maintaining financial targets, such as chargeable hours and recovery rates. The successful individual will build and maintain good relationships through quality service and active participation in relevant industry events. They will also ensure adherence to administration procedures outlined in the Procedures Manual. Moreover, the role includes development responsibilities for team members and participation in management and risk committee meetings as required.
Job Duties:
- Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of client portfolios.
- Provide fiduciary functions to non-engagement cases when necessary.
- Meet financial targets including chargeable hours, recovery rates, and debt management.
- Foster positive client and intermediary relationships through exemplary service.
- Share historic client knowledge with team members.
- Proactively manage invoicing and debt collection.
- Attend management and risk committee meetings as requested.
- Support the development and performance management of team members.
- Ensure compliance with AML and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Office and Marketing to drive business development strategies.
- Maintain regular contact with prospective clients and intermediaries.
- Work closely with leadership on strategic administration functions.
- Identify potential acquisition targets.
- Complete daily time inputs in the billing system.
- Undertake any additional duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Relevant professional qualification, e.g., STEP or ICSA.
- Minimum of 8 years post-qualifying experience in the fiduciary sector or at least 10 years of industry experience.
- Thorough understanding of fiduciary services and regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to work under pressure while prioritising workloads.
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proven leadership qualities with a proactive execution mindset.
- Strong management skills with a track record of effectively managing a team.
