  • Manage the data warehouse and data lake architecture, overseeing design, build, and ongoing management.
  • Identify emerging data trends and technologies that could enhance business value.
  • Develop and maintain a balanced data roadmap reflecting strategic priorities and operational needs.
  • Oversee all data interfaces and integrations between business applications and data platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Business Applications team to define integration requirements.
  • Ensure data products and reporting capabilities deliver accurate, timely insights to the business.
  • Manage key data lifecycle processes, including ingestion, transformation, and retention.

  • Serve as the primary IT contact for stakeholders regarding data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to the Group's AI strategy, ensuring data architecture supports AI initiatives in compliance with regulations.
  • Champion a data-driven culture within the organisation and define a data literacy programme.
  • Manage and develop a team of data engineers and data analysts, fostering a collaborative team culture.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Significant experience in data architecture, engineering, or analytics leadership, preferably in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
  • Proven ability to manage enterprise data platforms, including data warehouses and lakes.
  • Strong technical skills in data modelling, ETL/integration, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
  • Understanding of data governance and quality standards, with knowledge of relevant data protection legislation.
  • Experience in shaping AI strategy and an understanding of data governance and model risk associated with responsible AI adoption.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience in building and leading data teams, particularly in dynamic environments.
  • Background in financial services or other regulated industries is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on promoting data literacy across diverse teams.

WHAT YOU’LL LOVE:

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the Group's data strategy, drive initiatives that enhance data governance, and lead a talented team. You will engage directly with business stakeholders to deliver impactful data products, fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making.
